Unfortunately, this unique animal artisan does not do birthday parties – but boy would he be a huge success if he did! Can you imagine your kids face if they received one of these as their balloon animal?

I am old but I still remember going to the fair or to birthday parties where the balloon artist would ask what I wanted – of course I always wanted an animal, but what I got rarely resembled any type of animal I ever knew existed! As a kid I did not realize just how complex balloon art is – hell, I can barely tie a balloon after I blow it – so as an adult I clearly understand that creating things from balloons is a TRUE art form.

When I saw this guy on Instagram recently, I was in absolute awe.

Sometimes – well, most of the time I wish I had an ounce of the talent I see out there – what Masayoshi Matsumoto creates are truly amazing pieces of art. Every piece he creates has so much detail and are as realistic as a balloon animal can be!

They are life-like pieces that are also true in size and include species of all types like mammals, reptiles, spiders and so much more.

He uses absolutely nothing else to create these – just his hands and colored balloons! What we really love is the added detail that brings some of the animals to life like a caterpillar on the leaf or a monkey hanging from a tree branch.

Below are just a few of our absolute favorites from his Instagram account – which we totally recommend you follow!
