Subaru Adoption Event - Philadelphia Auto ShowWe recently talked about the amazing work Subaru was doing at the Los Angeles auto show when the worked with a local rescue to create an adoption area at the show!

Well, now they are doing it again at the 2019 Philadelphia Auto Show!

Subaru is partnering with the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society as well as Morris Animal Refuge to create one heck of an adoption event in the effort to help save the lives of animals in danger.

The pet adoption event will be hosted with the 2 shelters and will take place at the Subaru exhibit.

You can visit Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society on the following dates:

Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 from 7:00pm – 9:30pm (Black Tie Gala event)

Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10:00am – 2:00pm

Sunday, Feb. 3 from 10:00am – 2:00pm

Morris Animal Refuge will be in attendance on the following dates:

Saturday, Feb. 9 from 10:00am – 2:00pm

Sunday, Feb. 10 from 10:00am – 2:00pm

What The Event Includes

The event will be held right at the Subaru exhibit and will have a special enclosed area where you can come and interact with adoptable dogs from the 2 partner rescues. All dogs are available for adoption and if you are interested, please bring along your drivers license and payment method – because if you are approved you could be going home with a new best friend!

The event will also feature activities like making a rope toy that can be taken home with a small donation or donated to a shelter pet – or you can have a custom pet tag created using their Subaru Loves Pets engraver. And donations made at the booth will be donated to the 2 rescues that Subaru has partnered with.

The Subaru Love Promise

Subaru takes their love for animals (and doing good in the world) seriously and are committed to helping them with their love promise.

The Subaru Love Promise is just that. A promise. It is a promise to do right by our community by partnering with nonprofit education, health, community, environment, and animal organizations – to set Subaru apart through our deeds and the deeds of our partners. To be unlike any other car company by doing what is right and good, just for the sake of doing it.

About Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless and at-risk animals. PAWS is the city’s largest rescue partner and provider of low-cost, basic veterinary care for pet owners and rescue organizations that cannot otherwise access or afford it. Through its three no-kill shelters, foster care network, and special events, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of animals each year. PAWS is working to make Philadelphia a no-kill city where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.

About The Morris Animal Refuge (MAR)

America’s First Animal Shelter has been helping the Philadelphia area’s homeless pets since 1874, and no animal has ever been turned away from our doors. Located at 12th and Lombard in the heart of Center City, The Morris Animal Refuge offers innovative and high quality care for cats, dogs, and other small animals. We provide a full range of preventative, protective, and adoption services for neglected, abused, and abandoned animals.

The Morris Animal Refuge is a non-profit charitable organization. Morris relies on the support of foundations, corporations, and especially the generosity of concerned citizens and animal lovers to help provide a second chance and forever homes for animals in need in the Philadelphia Area.

Rescue Marketing Idea!

This is one of our favorite rescue marketing idea since the rescues that partner with Subaru gain so much visibility with new opportunities for branding and gaining new supporters! If you are a smaller rescue you can reach out to local dealers to see if they can work with you on a smaller – but equally effective type of marketing campaign!

This is just a great example of thinking outside the box to create partnerships that help each other.

We hope if you are in the area you can swing by and spend time with Subaru, the rescues and of course the adorable puppies that will make your day brighter!
