So, which is it? Well, Hasbro wants you to find out in the most fun way. The game company is launching the newest addition to its line of Monopoly games and it is called Monopoly:  Cats. vs. Dogs.

This is not your usual Monopoly game though. There are a few things that make this game unique so you can determine who rules – dogs or cats.

Game features include:

• Game is meant for teams to play – choose team Dog or team Cat.
• You do not buy properties in this version instead you will claim funny titles for your pets. A couple of titles include “fashionista” and “trick master”.
• Chance cards still exist but unlike the traditional chance cards – these cards feature the silly things pets do.

The game also has completely redesigned the tokens, money and cards for this version making the entire game a really animal inspired game.

Some of the game pieces include a kitty in a bed, kitty scratching a post, a dog drinking from a toilet and a a dog carrying a large bone. They are adorable!

So how do you know who wins this age old rivalry?

Well, whatever team claims the most titles wins!

The game is recommended for kids ages 8+ and was launched for sale in July of 2019 on Amazon. We are imagining this will be a top pick as an animal lover gift this holiday season so we definitely recommend preordering!

I actually purchased the cat version for my cat loving daughter and she loved it! We live in a true cat versus dog household – I am a dog girl, she is a cat girl – so I know we will be dueling in the cat versus dog version of the game once it is released!
