In other words, their objective is to provide full-cycle rehabilitation and training for each dog before adoption.

Their Poodles and Doodles are provided with optimal shelter, nutrition, health care, and training. They provide all necessary vaccinations and spaying/neutering before adoption.

What makes this rescue unique is its dedication to training and socializing the dogs before they give them up for adoption. Each dog is leash trained as well as potty trained. They are also trained in basic obedience and pack leadership.

Keep in mind that this particular organization is run by a small group of volunteers, so their selection of dogs may not be as huge as is the case with some larger organizations.

Where The Wild Things Are is a licensed nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization.

This is an all-breed rescue that specializes in the rehabilitation and rescue of guardian breeds. They are also known to offer mixed breeds – such as Goldendoodles and Labradoodles.

This is a relatively young organization founded in 2020 in Augusta Georgia. Due to their strong mission to save all Wild Things in need, they managed to build a reputable brand in a short time.

However, it’s not only a brand name that makes this organization a popular one.

This rescue is very committed to promoting the spaying and neutering of dogs. This is a very important mission as it serves to decrease the number of abandoned dogs in that area.

They provide each dog with a full treatment before adoption.

That includes spaying/neutering, heartworm and flea treatments, as well as other vaccinations and treatment of more serious injuries. In order to do this, the rescue partners with experienced veterinarians.

What sets this organization apart from others is that it’s licensed by the Georgia State Department of Agriculture.

This is also an organization that rescues both cats and dogs and is not breed-specific. That being said, they also rescue Doodles and other mixed dog breeds.

To start the adoption process you will need to first complete their adoption application. 

All Tiny’s dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and have passed their heartworm test.

The adoption fee ranges from $350 to $550, depending on the age of the dog. The smaller the dog is (e.g. under 1 year of age), the higher the fee, and vice versa.

The adoption process starts with the Deed Verification. This is where they check if the owner of the property is you or the landlord you are renting from.

After that, they will follow up with a Google search of adults in the home, and will also phone your references.

Their next step is to contact your veterinary references. This is a crucial part of the process, as Tiny Paws Rescue refuses to adopt to anyone whose pets are not spayed/neutered.

You will be asked to phone your references and veterinarian beforehand. If your previous dogs are deceased, the veterinary references still apply. 

After checking your pet history, the final step in the application process is a home visit. This includes meeting both your current pets and also meeting the people in your home.

Laskey’s Lucky Ones and Volunteers (LLOV) is a non-breed specific, no-kill rescue in Georgia. This is also a 501c (3) organization, and they have a mission of rescuing neglected and abused dogs and cats.
