We already know dogs are our best friends – but some dogs just take that friendship further than most as shown in Max the Movie!

Imagine the pain and suffering a dog feels when his best friend and partner is tragically killed.

Imagine the sense of loss and abandonment they feel when the only person they have loved is gone forever.

That is the premise for the movie Max, a film created by the producers of the popular classic Marley and Me. Max is meant to explore the journey of a trained military dog who spent his time on the front lines with his partner and friend, U.S. Marine Kyle Wincott.

Sadly, after his partner died in action in Afghanistan, Max could no longer continue with his own military career and ultimately gets shipped back to the US to be adopted by the only family that will take him – Kyle’s.

Kyle’s younger brother Justin is a troubled kid who can related to the troubled pooch and this is where the story truly begins. The journey these two share takes them on a variety of exciting adventures that eventually lead them to the truth of what really happened to Kyle on the front lines that day he was killed.

The movie hits most theaters on June 26th – and we cannot wait!

Here is a sneak peak of the movie trailer:

Here is a video with the theme song by Blake Shelton called “Forever Young”

Now -I will admit, I am not a movie person – but this one is a must see in my book! A movie that presents the heroic acts of our military dogs and allows us to see the emotional strain that is placed on them is one that I personally think everyone should see.

FUN NOTE: Did you know the dog starring in this movie is actually a Belgian Malinois?
