Rescue Runts: Nurture Your Childs Love Of Animals!

You can read more about their success at PR Newswire! We highly recommend ordering now to ensure you get on in their next shipment – this will be a hot Christmas gift!

Remember when you were a kid and you wanted to save every animal you could find that was in need? From the bird that ran into a door to the dog that was running loose – if there was an animal, you would be its hero right?!

Except mom and dad would usually respond with “hey, get that thing out of here” – and you would have to take the animal back outside with that broken heart. Pretty sure most of us animal lovers have been there.

Well, there is a new toy in town called Rescue Runts that can fill that need kids have to take care of stray animals  and we are loving it! Rescue Runts are the perfect toys for those kids that are showing a love of animals at even the earliest ages! We also think these little guys can also be used to show kids how caring for an animal can result in great things and make you feel amazing!

The toys have recently launched and we are hoping these become so popular that they become a staple under those Christmas trees this year. Not only are they simply adorable – but teaching kids the compassion needed to help make the world for animals a better place is a win win in our eyes. Nurturing the next generation of animal rescue workers can make a huge impact on how many pet lives are saved!

These plush toys are currently available on Amazon in 4 dog options and may not look so pretty at first, but with some love and care they become a picture perfect pet. In previous announcements they did not that cats and a smaller version of all of their pets will be available.

Below is a sample of their German Shepherd pup!

They arrive with matted fur filled with fleas, dirty paws, boo-boo’s and watery eyes. Your child will be so sad when they see the horrible shape these pups and kitties are in – but wait, the magic is about to happen to make this toy turn that frown upside down!

Bring out the tweezers to pull out the yucky a fleas – a soft cloth to wipe away the tears and the dirt from their paws. Spend some time cuddling with the furry friends to help speed up their healing – pet them, brush them and watch them turn into a beautiful pet that will show them the love only a rescue pet can!

Oh – but wait, that is not where the fun ends!  In just a few days the toy will again become a matted dirty mess – showing children that pets are need of constant care! Once they do the maintenance needed, the toy again becomes a clean happy version of itself.

The Rescue Runts collection has launched with the following 7″ plush pets:

  • Husky
  • German Shepherd
  • Spotted Dog
  • Spaniel

They retail for $19.99 and the suggested ages are 3+. It does seem they will have other varieties available in the future too so keep an eye out for those.

Rescue Runts typically come with:

  • Plush Pet
  • Comb
  • Flea Tweezers
  • Towel
  • Collar
  • Bandages

So, what do you think?

Will you be getting one of these cuties for your kids – or for you….or have you already purchased one and want to share your thoughts?

  1. I think this is a wonderful idea. Are any percentages of the sales donated to rescue animals? Just curios. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

    • Hi Keri – as noted in the post they do promotions to donate back, not sure if every sale generates a donation or not, you may want to reach out to them directly for more specific details!
