Have a toddler who loves animals? This animals of the world activity for kids will help them learn about what continents animals are native too. This can open up some great conversations about animal welfare issues and why animal conservation is so important.
If you are looking for another fun free downloadable activity, check out our “What Am I” animal puzzles!
While you may think your kids are too young to have these conversations – the reality is they earlier we start to educate them with age appropriate activities the better the future will be for many of these animals! When my daughter was little we had National Geographic for Kids and Time for Kids which had so many great articles about animals!

Activity Download Instructions
This is an easy one for you mom and dad! Simply download the PDF file and print on your home computer.
Cut out the squares of each of the animals and place them in a pile.
Ask your kids to place the animals they believe live on each continent on one of the blocks on that continent.
When they are done – you can check to see how many they got right! Next, spend time talking about the animals – help them learn about the continents and why animal conservation all over the world matters.
This is a great activity that is fun, educational and can really promote conversations to encourage kids to care for animals all over the world. If they are really animal lovers even having a charitable birthday party is a great way they can make a difference in the world.
